Our instructor Cameron is British, so every time he would say 0Auth I thought he was saying Olaf. The name of the snowman in the Disney movie Frozen. I could not have been more wrong. 0Auth isn’t a friendly snowman, more so a scary coding nightmare! There are so many moving parts to authentication its crazy.
We started out the week with an introduction to 0Auth and how it all works. I would try and explain it all to you in this blog, but honestly you would be better off googling! It’s not an easy subject to understand. After Cameron gave us the run down on 0Auth we were given some tutorials to do to help us understand how authentication works. If you would like to do those tutorials you can find them here.
Now that we had had some background on authentication we were to take our Property Manager application and add authentication. This took us the rest of the week to complete and it was not an easy task. A lot of us kept having trouble with Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS).
I don’t have a lot of free time to write so I apologize for the short post this week. I will try and free up time to write more the next post. We take on Mob Programming next week so make sure to read next weeks blog!
