Project Description.

Al’s Tire Mart has been proudly serving the Effingham area since 1952. Albert Knabe started Al’s Tire Mart with family in mind, and carry on that tradition to this day with Al’s sons Tom and Mark, grandson Joe, and grandaughter Jenny leading the way. Al’s has progressed from being the leading tire dealer and installer to offering total vehicle repair, two contact vehicles that come to you, state of the art home theater sales and installation, authorized DISH and Verizon Wireless retailer, and eight locations in Effingham, Newton, Casey, Lawrenceville, Flora, Hoopeston, and Watseka to serve central Illinois.

Al’s Tire Mart started in a building behind on Jefferson Avenue which still stands to the north of our current flagship. The business grew right along with the community and in 1982 moved to the Fayette location. With the extra space came the opportunity to add to our store and services. We started expanding with car audio installations and custom stereo systems. Over the next few years, nothing seemed to slow down and Al’s started in the mobile phone business – selling and installing phones for vehicles.

When Ameritech was purchased by Verizon Wireless, Al’s became an authorized retailer. In 2001 it was time for yet another expansion. They opened a state-of-the-art home theater department with a built-in theatre featuring a 120” screen and multiple speakers to choose from. A showroom was added for Verizon cell phones to keep pace with growing demands. The automotive side also added six service bays. Al’s is now the only professional installer for custom home theater systems and smart-home products in the area, and the area leader for Verizon and the latest mobile devices.

TThis was another awesome E-Commerce site build that was a lot of fun. I’m a pretty big fan of technology and gadgets so building a tech centered website was right up my alley. I had the pleasure of working with Andrew Evans, ITMG’s Graphic Designer, and he did a wonderful job creating a easily navigated site that anyone can figure out how to use.

Andrew did a really nice job keeping the branding on point. The site really blends in well with Al’s Electronics and their company culture. They are a family founded and operated business that cares for their employees and customers.
